Joint compound, filler/wall putty or topping compound are all great places to start! Adding some acrylic mediums such as paint or modelling paste is optional! ➡️ Mix, mix and mix again! The more you mix, the creamier your paste will go! ➡️ Spread out those air bubbles…such an important step! ➡️Spread your paste around evenly…you only need a thin layer! Add a background design if you want to! ➡️ To make an arch, use a notched tool. I used a 8mm square notched trowel for this arch! I also love the 4mm square notched and v notched tools! ➡️ It can take 24 hours to dry properly! ➡️ Sand out any bumps before painting ➡️ Use acrylic art paints or interior wall paints after the paste is dried. ➡️ A spray varnish is an optional step but great to add extra protection!
