This handmade 9.5 mm wooden crochet hook is smallest rag rug hook we make with sheet yarn in mind. I would use this size hook when making lower profile rag rugs and use sheet yarn that is 1 to perhaps 1.75.  The slightly pointed tip helps you navigate into the correct stitch however the pulling back through of the fabric easier on the hand, wrist and forearm. My husband tweaked it for fabric rag rug crocheting. They are 9.5 mm and approximately 8.5 long. Having a longer hook (8.5) makes it more comfortable than most standard crochet hooks. You will notice we have taken photos with a standard 10 mm (N hook) You can see how much longer our hooks are which makes soooo much difference with comfort. Some crochet hook charts say 9.5 mm is a N hook.  All wooden 9.5 mm crochet hooks are made with poplar which is a light wood, because they are handmade they will have slight variations. They feel great in your hand.
