Tomoe River paper is famous for its smoothness and thinness. A common notebook typically uses paper at the weight around 80g-100g, comparing to Tomoe River at only 52g. Even though the paper is thin, it's famous for handling fountain pen ink very well. The paper shows excellent ink properties such as sheen and shades, and has really minimal bleed through. The Tomoe River loose leaf paper is produced by Sanzen, successor to the original Tomoegawa.
