Description

Warmbloods are a group of middle-weight horse types and breeds primarily originating in Europe. The term distinguishes these horses from both heavy draft horses (cold bloods) and refined light saddle horses such as the Thoroughbred, Arabian, and Akhal-Teke (hot bloods). Warmbloods have become popular since the end of World War II when mechanization made agricultural horses obsolete, and recreational riding became more widespread in the western world.

Breyer Traditional Breeds Warmblood – Breyer Horses Australia

Designed by artist Sommer Prosser, this ornament celebrates a beloved American breed: the Tennessee Walking Horse. Best known for their smooth “running walk” which has made them a favorite amongst trail riding enthusiasts, they were originally bred for light farm work and driving, in addition to riding. This striking blue roan mare is outfitted for the holiday with a beautiful red ribbon. The Breyer 22nd in a collectible series.
