The RIDGID 1224 Threading Machine (catalog number 26092, model 1224) is an electric motor-driven machine that centers and chucks pipe, conduit and bolt stock and rotates it while cutting, reaming and threading operations are performed. Threading dies are mounted in a variety of available die heads. An integral oiling system is provided to flood the work with thread cutting oil during operation. Threads a wide range of pipe including black, galvanized and plastic-coated pipe, together with stainless steel, IMC and heavy-wall conduit, as well as rod up to 30 Rockwell C. with optional equipment, this can be used to thread larger pipe, short or close nipples, roll grooving, cutting standard grooves on pipes or to cut or strip the saran and plastic-lined pipes. 1-1/2 HP Induction motor operates at 12 or 36 RPM. It has a 2-speed gearbox with a 3:1 ratio. The nominal pipe capacity is 1/4 to 2 in. at 36 RPM, 2-1/2 to 4 in. at 12 RPM, 4 to 6 in. with 161 Geared Threader and Bolt Capacity is 1/4 to 2 in.Includes 1224 Threading Machine, 1/4 to 2 in.
