Up is a 2009 American animated film directed by Pete Docter. It is the 10th Disney-Pixar animated feature film. It tells the story of Carl Fredricksen, an elderly widower and Russell, a Wilderness Explorer who goes on a journey to South Africa, in order to fulfil a promise that Carl made to his late wife Ellie. Along the way, they meet a talking dog named Dug, and encounter a giant bird named Kevin, who is being hunted by the explorer Charles Muntz, whom Carl had idolised in childhood. The film
