Yellow + Turquoise = Green Magenta + Turquoise = Violet Magenta + Yellow = Light Orange Magenta + Deep Blue = Purple Deep Blue + Turquoise = Royal Blue For pastel colours just add tap water once you've used up 2/3rds of the dye in a bottle. Tie Dyeing FAQ How many items will I get from my kit? * ~ As a guide this kit will dye 10 Medium t-shirts in full coverage using the squeeze bottle technique. ~ Different shapes & sizes (eg: socks, baby clothes, dresses or 5XL t-shirts) will require different amounts of dye. ~ You may use a small amount of dye leaving lots of white or more dye for full coverage. ~ Different dyeing techniques use different amounts of dye. ~ Due to these factors we cannot guarantee the amount of items you will be able to dye. If you love soft pastel colours then top up the dye bottles with tap water once you have about half to 1/3 of the dye left in the bottle. We suggest you pre wash and tie a few extra items just in case your dye goes further than you think. I've used other kits before but the colours were faded not bright, your tie dyes look so bright will I get the same results? By following the instructions included in your kit you'll have bright tie dyes because our kit contains professional fibre reactive dyes and are the same dyes we use to dye all the Magic Starfish Tie Dyes on our website. These dyes are specially designed to bond with the fibre instead of sitting on top of the fabric say like paint does. During dyeing a process occurs where the fibre opens up and allows the dyes to penetrate and bond with the fibre, the dyes are then locked into the fibre. Once you do your after dyeing wash out to remove any unbonded dye your colours will stay bright and not wash out. This also means the dyes wont come out in a babys mouth if they suck on their tie dyed t-shirt.
