THIS%20IS%20**ONLY**%20THE%20SLAB%20ROLLER%20-%20NO%20TABLETOPPER%2C%20TABLE%2C%20OR%20LEGS%20%20Every%20part%20carefully%20designed%20and%20made%20for%20its%20intended%20purpose.%20No%20off-the-shelf%20or%20inferior%20parts%20or%20material.%20Rust%20free%20and%20virtually%20maintenance%20free.%20No%20clumsy%20heavy%20shims%20or%20boards.%20No%20chains%2C%20cables%20or%20cast-iron%20gears.%20Thickness%20infinitely%20variable%20from%200%20to%202%26frac34%3B%20inches.%20Slabs%20can%20be%20rolled%20in%20either%20direction%20and%20clay%20can%20be%20added%20or%20subtracted%20at%20any%20time.%20Roll%20slabs%20up%20to%2022%22%20wide.%20The%20length%20of%20the%20slab%20is%20limited%20only%20by%20the%20space%20and%20canvas%20available.%20Tapered%20slabs%20are%20quick%2C%20easy%20and%20precise.%20Warping%2C%20curling%20and%20cracking%20are%20drastically%20reduced.%20All%20machines%20accept%20press%20molds%20and%20a%20wide%20variety%20of%20texturing%20material%20such%20as%20burlap%2C%20plant%20materials%2C%20rope%2C%20cork%20and%20bark.%20%20Like%20the%20other%20North%20Star%20slab%20rollers%2C%20the%20slab%20roller%20has%20two%20rolls%2C%20much%20like%20the%20wringer%20of%20an%20old-fashioned%20washing%20machine.%20Both%20rolls%20have%20a%20small%20diamond%20pattern%20(%22knurling%22)%20machined%20directly%20into%20the%20metal%20to%20grip%20the%20canvas.%20The%20bottom%20roll%20is%20turned%20by%20the%20handle%2C%20but%20cannot%20move%20vertically.%20As%20it%20turns%2C%20it%20drives%20the%20top%20roll%20through%20a%20train%20of%20gears.%20The%20upper%20roll%20both%20turns%20and%20can%20be%20adjusted%20up%20and%20down.%20The%20two%20rolls%20turning%20together%20pull%20slabs%20through%20easily%2C%20and%20the%20vertical%20adjustment%20of%20the%20top%20roll%20gives%20an%20easy-to-set%20and%20infinitely%20adjustable%20thickness%20from%20paper-thin%20to%20over%202%20inches.%20A%20reference%20scale%20allows%20setting%20and%20repeating%20openings%20to%20within%201%2F100%20of%20an%20inch.%20%20The%20design%20gives%20great%20flexibility%20in%20making%20slabs.%20Very%20thin%2C%20translucent%20porcelain%20slabs%20and%20thick%2C%20heavily%20textured%20architectural%20slabs%20are%20equally%20easy.%20A%20wide%20variety%20of%20other%20texturing%20materials%20and%20objects%20can%20be%20passed%20through%20the%20machine%20along%20with%20the%20clay.%20Slabs%20can%20be%20rolled%20either%20direction%20or%20reversed%20on%20all%20North%20Star%20machines.
Brent Mini SRC Slab Roller is designed to roll out 14 in W x 15 in L slabs. This portable roller with a steel pipe and a bent plate is compactly designed to fit on a table. Roller features one 1/4 in shim with canvas and two 1/8 in plain shims to roll slabs up to 3/4 in thick. Patented cable drive system comes with opposing rollers to produce even pressure along the bed. Slab roller measures 31 in W x 26 in L x 14 in H when assembled.
