Get ready for Halloween with this pack of four art projects inspired by the tradition and symbols of Halloween. Your students will enjoy creating a mini carved pumpkin using clay, a collage Halloween poster, a sgraffito drawing of a Halloween scene, and a textured two-dimensional haunted house using mixed media. There are slideshow instructions in PDF format along with student handouts so you can choose what works best for you. All instructions are very visual so even if you're not confident teaching art, your students will be able to create work they're proud of and enjoy making. Each project takes approximately 1-3 days so you could start these in the week before Halloween to have them finished by the 31st October.Activities could be set up at stations for students to rotate around, or work on each project as a whole class. What's included in the zip file?Teacher's guidePDF slideshow format instructionsStudent handouts which include pages of photos and pictures for inspirationSelf-reflection and artist's statementWhat you'll need:colored paper A4 sizescissors, glue sticks, white gluepencil, black markertextured materials such as corrugated card, fabric scraps, paper towelsthick card such as the flaps of cardboard boxesacrylic or poster paintair-drying claytoothpicks or wooden skewersoil pastelsI hope your students enjoy creating Halloween art!
