A Mexican folk art, papel picado is used throughout the year for decorations and is made by cutting detailed patterns on tissue paper to reflect the festivity it is being used for. These decorations are particularly used during Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebrations. Traditional Paper is the essential touch to include in a Mexican altar or home decoration.
This Papel Picado Mylar Paper Cutout is made of mylar paper to give it a metallic and shiny finish and to make it more resistant compared to traditional tissue paper. Can be used as placemats at the altar, as altar skirt for a table, or by hanging free style as decoration. Authentic and unique piece of traditional Mexican decoration.
