This amazing Peking glass bottle features two sides of reverse painted glass from the inside. The paintings were done through the small opening on top of the snuff bottle, with each side painted done inside the bottle, from the outside of the bottle. Each side of the bottle is different, and the painting is delicate and beautifully done. Side 1 features two large pink flowers and small red flowers on a branch, Chinese characters (perhaps the artist’s signature), an animal, a blue and white bird, and green foliage. Side 2 features a rich mountain landscape, large boulders in a lake, a yellow building in the distance, a flock of birds in the distance, several trees, and distant mountains. The stopper lid is white jade, and perfectly fits the snuff bottle. Condition of this hand painted snuff bottle is excellent! There is no damage of any kind, and the painting is crisp and fresh.
