The PRO-LINE Tools from Kemper are made of cutting loops and blades securely mounted on select hardwood handles by brass ferrules. The cutting loops/blades are made of knife-quality high-carbon steel, which has been treated with heat and quenched in oil to maximize hardness and durability.
These tools last much longer than the stainless steel ones because high carbon steel takes and holds a sharper and longer-lasting edge.
Usage Recommendations:
The high carbon steel can rust. Keep PRO-LINE tools clean and dry when not in use.
Periodically apply a light coat of oil to both blade and handle.
If necessary, re-sharpen loop/blade with a whetstone (either oil or water). Do not use a power grinder.
