Lemon scented Verbena is a vigorous growing perennial that is a delight in any garden with many favourable qualities including culinary uses, fragrant foliage, and bee attracting flowers. This plant has long, bright green, lemon scented leaves on dark stems, and produces clusters of small mauve-white flowers that attract pollinating insects to your garden. The leaves and flowers can be used in cooking to add fragrance and flavour, and it is a popular plant to make into herbal tea. Preferring a warm sunny position with rich, free-draining soil, Lemon Verbena is sensitive to frost and must be protected in winter in frost prone areas.
