This shell’s shot is also compliant with laws that ban toxic projectiles.

Winchester compensates for steel’s inherent shortcomings quite nicely. Steel has a relatively low density, but a sizzling hot 1,350 fps muzzle velocity gives it the momentum it needs to hit hard downrange. Steel is also very hard. That benefits pattern density by preventing shot pellet deformation, but Winchester cleverly loads this shell with a thick, full-length wad to also prevent abrasion to your barrel.
