Simply use the metal nibs to draw precise, controlled lines and dots over the areas you don't want to be colored. Allow the masking fluid to dry, color over it, and peel off the masking fluid once the coloring is dry. You can also use them to create negative space artwork by drawing with these pens and then covering over the page with ink, paint, or marker. The masking fluid is made with hypo-allergenic liquid latex and is easy to rub off with a finger. These masking fluid pens have self-cleaning metal nibs to keep them flowing smoothly. To use either of these pens, unscrew the cap and squeeze the bottle with light, consistent pressure as you draw. Recap the pen as soon as you are done using it to prevent drying out. The wire inside the cap goes into the nib to clear away any potential clogs. Clean any masking fluid from the wire before you insert it into the nib. To refill these pens, simply unscrew their tips and screw them on to the refill bottles.
