Description

The Kiridashi knife is a tool used for crafting. Typically, the Kiridashi is used for wood working, whittling, bamboo crafting, and leather working however their unique design largely prioritizes control over the blade for intricate and detailed work. The Creation’s Edge Kiridashi Crafting Knife is a single edge, full tang Kiridashi with a 4.13-inch blade and a 5.63-inch handle. The blade is acid washed 440c stainless steel which maintains strength while resisting rust. This means that the knife is durable and low maintenance so you can focus on your project instead of your tools. Composed of black micarta and hardwood with liners separating the two from each other and from the tang, the handle of the Creation’s Edge is lovely and durable enough for the toughest of tasks. The liners are white and red which pose a stark contrast to the black and brown of the handle. In addition to making the design more interesting, these liners also provide a visual cue that you can look for if you were to drop the blade. The grips are held to the tang via exact mosaic pins which means that the pins fill the exact space allotted and won’t loosen easily and that they each are one piece that pass through both grips, liners, and tang. Speaking of tang, it is visible around the sides of the handle and styled with hand cut grooves filled in with black resin for a mature and intricate finish. The Creation’s Edge Crafting Kiridashi Knife comes with a black leather sheath equipped with a belt loop which is good because the blade comes sharp and ready for any project you can think of. Overall Length: 9.25 Inches. Weight: 0.57 lbs.
