Belief that things can change/improve. Effects decisions related to moving forward. Fixed mindset – I can’t change/fix this. Growth mindset – With some work/perseverance this can be improved.
Those with a Fixed Mindset tend to give up. They believe situations are final. It is what it is , there’s nothing that can be done to change it. Those with a Growth Mindset tend to keep trying. The goal is to change/improve. The current situation is a beginning, not the end.

Parents naturally disconnect in high school; however, teachers can develop relationships with parents to build the connection to involve parents in the educational process. This is only an idea used for this demonstration, not the only possibility to a Fixed Mindset thought. This will vary by school, school level, team etc.
