SCREEN COLOUR
The colours according to the recipes were mixed, recorded and then tested on 1g of natural white wool yarn. Screen colour photo to actual yarn sample varies. I recommend dyeing small samples of each colour and attaching them to the printed file, storing you're recipes in a binder, away from sunlight.
ABOUT
As a graphic designer turned fibre artist and with background in colour theory, I have always loved colour and absolutely love mixing dyes. This colour collection was created using a systematic approach. The colours in this collection were mixed, recorded and then tested on 1g of natural ecru wool yarn fibre. You can experiment by over dyeing white, grey and other shades of natural yarn. Colours can appear different on different fibre types. For example, I have found the colours to appear more vibrant on bright white Mohair yarn, deeper on Merino 4ply and less vibrant on uncombed wool roving.
