This is the online option to pay the registration fee for the in-person beginner's shuttle tatting class. This description is long but please read everything, no refunds will be issued for registration fees except under specific circumstances listed below.  The cost is $50 for the class and includes all supplies needed to complete the class plus you will have enough materials to complete several additional projects. (A $1 payment processing fee applies for paying online). Please only pay the registration fee after you have submitted your requested class dates and they have been verified as available.  There are no refunds for class registration. If class is canceled due to inclement weather or instructor illness, every effort will be made to reschedule, if rescheduling is not possible then a refund may be issued.  Details: This is a beginners class designed for persons who have never shuttle tatted before. We will learn the basics: the double stitch, the flip, how to make rings and chains, how to make picots, how to make a join, identifying and counting stitches, and how to read and follow a pattern. If time permits we will also cover the lock join, the folded join, hiding ends and tatting over tails, and possibly more.  By the end of this class you should be able to follow most simple patterns and have the skills to complete a wide variety of basic projects. At this time classes are for individuals only. One on one study allows everyone to learn at their own pace, and I’ve found it to be less stressful for both the student and myself.  If you were thinking of taking a class with a friend you can still do that, we would schedule it as a group class with you and your friends (up to three people), each person would pay their own fee and get their own supplies but you would be scheduled to learn together. One person should be designated as the group leader for scheduling purposes.  Classes are completed in two part segments on two separate days, with an optional third segment on a third day. The registration fee covers all days and is not refundable if you are unable to attend all scheduled days. I have no studio so class location will vary. The best choice is the Dexter Public Library, as they have three study rooms that can be reserved in advance. The Pinckney Public Library is a good alternate choice but it only has one study room and it cannot be reserved in advance. If you have another place you would prefer to meet please send me the name and information so I can review it. I'm very flexible and can make this work almost anywhere in the Pinckney/Hamburg/Hell/Dexter area.  The preferred scheduling for class days will be: the first class takes place on day one, then we skip a day for rest and practice, then the second class would take place, then if it is decided a third class is needed either to continue the basics or continue with more advanced techniques, it should take place 1-2 days after the second class. No classes should occur on consecutive days. Classes will be 2 hours each. For example, a first class on Tuesday from 11am until 1pm, the second class on Thursday from 11:30am to 1:30pm, and a third class, if needed, on Saturday or Sunday from 1pm until 3pm. Please contact me (via email, direct message in Discord, or Facebook Messenger) with your preferred class days and times to confirm availability. Please provide at least 2 weeks notice, 3 weeks is preferred. Once the days and times you request are confirmed as available, your payment can be made to reserve those times. You can pay online here or cash can be paid at various events and locations, check my most recent Facebook posts for upcoming events and markets I will be attending. Supplies provided are the same as the Shuttle Tatting Starter Kit that is sold on this site (if you purchased a kit from me to try and learn on your own but now want to take a class from me, you will not be required to buy another kit, mention you have a kit when you message with your requested day and time).  I will also provide a few basic patterns to practice with, as well as handouts with diagrams and instructions so you have reference material to review while you continue tatting after classes are completed. All students are welcome to join the Lacemakers Discord where they can post questions and get help and also share works in progress and finished work.
