Basic Sewing 101 Class Description: Do you have a sewing machine and need the fundamentals of sewing?  Well, you are in the right place!  In this class, you will learn the following: Review your manual to your machine – what to look for Familiarize yourself with the basic parts & features of a sewing machine Set up
Basic Sewing 101 Class Description: Do you have a sewing machine and need the fundamentals of sewing?  Well, you are in the right place!  In this class, you will learn the following: Review your manual to your machine – what to look for Familiarize yourself with the basic parts & features of a sewing machine Set up & threading – what type of thread to use & why Top tension & bobbin basics Needle education – why do we use different types Straight stitch practice Select a Sewing Project to be sewn on Basic Sewing 101-Part2: a Pin Cushion, a Dog Chew Toy or a Coaster) Date & Time: See options; Duration will be a total of Four (4) hours; classes are broken down to 2-hour Classes (includes a small break); two consecutive classes scheduled at your own pace & calendar Class Size: 6 Location: In person classes The Sewing Station 401 West Pecan Street, Suite E Pflugerville, TX 78660 Class Cost: $65 each or bundle for $190 for all three classes Prerequisite: N/A Specific Material List:  Sewing Machine (including any tools that come with your machine) Sewing Machine Manual (if you do not have a printed-out copy, please be prepared to bring a downloaded version) Thread Bobbins for your Machine (note: always check the package of bobbins when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage) Machine Needles per your machine (note: always check the package of needles when purchasing to ensure that your sewing machine model appears for usage) Sewing Machine Toolbox – (Note: Supply Kits are available at The Sewing Station Learning Center Online Boutique): Hand Stitch Needles Scissors for cutting fabric Snippers for cutting threads Seam ripper Tape measure and/or ruler Straight Pins (25) Fabrics - Any scrap fabric will do – we are only practicing 😉 NOTE: THERE ARE NO RETURNS FOR THIS PRODUCT!
