Made in collaboration with L.L. Bean, this sturdy, heavy canvas tote bag was introduced as the Ice Carrier way back in 1944. The Boat and Tote was billed as a bag made of builders’ canvas for hauling ice “from car to ice chest.” Available in natural canvas with your choice of navy or royal blue contrast-tone handles, and beautifully embroidered with our 1950s archival, hand-drawn flag design. This heavy-duty 24 oz. cotton canvas features a double-layer base and reinforced flat canvas bottom. Overlapped seams are double-stitched with nylon so they won’t rot or break. Let your tote do the heavy lifting, from grocery stores to gardens, from beaches to bedroom closets, from headquarters to expedition. Tested to hold up to 500 pounds, it’ll carry more than you can carry. We promise. Handcrafted in Maine, one tote at a time. Capacity: Approx. 2,124 cu. in., 35 L.
