Andrei Protsouk is a Ukrainian-American artist who has a unique and vibrant style of painting that reflects his passion for love, music, and culture. He was born in 1961 in Donetsk, Ukraine, and showed an early talent for drawing and painting. He studied at the prestigious Lugansk State School of Fine Art and later at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he learned the techniques of classical realism and mastered the skills of oil painting, etching, and printmaking. He also became familiar with the works of modern masters such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, and Dali, who inspired him to develop his own artistic vision. In 1994, Protsouk moved to the United States with his wife and son, and settled in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He opened his own studio and gallery, where he continues to create and exhibit his artworks. He also travels extensively around the world, visiting different countries and cultures that enrich his imagination and creativity. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across Europe, Asia, America, and Australia. He has received many awards and honors for his artistic achievements, such as the Gold Medal from the Russian Academy of Arts, the Order of St. Stanislaus from the Polish government, and the Medal of Honor from the Ukrainian government. Protsouk’s paintings are characterized by their bright and expressive colors, geometric shapes, linear perspective, and symbolic elements. He uses oil on canvas, wood panel, etchings, giclees, and prints as his media of choice. He paints scenes of love, music, dance, and culture that celebrate life and human emotions. He often depicts couples in romantic poses, musicians playing instruments, dancers performing ballet or folk dances, and people enjoying festivals or carnivals. He also incorporates elements from his personal experiences and memories of living in different countries, such as Ukraine, Russia, Italy, France, and the US. He uses symbols such as hearts, flowers, musical notes, stars, and flags to convey his messages and meanings. His paintings are dynamic and energetic, inviting the viewers to join him in his joyful and colorful world.
