Amber essential oil is a calming oil that encourages harmony, balance and inspiration. It's produced from fossilized tree resin that is millions of years old. Unlike our oils from living plants, there is no essential oil that can be directly obtained from the fossilized resin. Instead, the oil comes from a process called dry distillation whereby the amber resin is processed over high heat until an oily substance is obtained. It is a fairly thick oil with a smoky, resinous fragrance with a hint of pine & balsamic overtones. ~ Aromatherapy properties Amber is a calming oil that encourages harmony, balance and inspiration. ~ Blending suggestions Geranium, pine, spruce, cedarwood, myrrh, frankincense, cypress, clove, anise seed, lemon, orange, rose absolute, benzoin. An excellent fixative for other essential oils. ~ What you'll get Your choice of a 1/4-ounce amber glass vial with an open mouth or a 5mL glass bottle with a dropper top. Vial will be amber or blue depending on what's available. (Clear vial is to show color of oil) This dry distilled oil is produced in India. Dry distillation is a rapid distillation that is less likely to damage the active components of volatile oils.
