Cold pressed from the kernels (nuts) of the almond tree, sweet almond oil is a light golden colored, medium-weight oil with little discernable scent. Widely used by massage therapists due to its ability to lubricate without leaving an oily residue, almond oil absorbs easily into the skin and has deeply moisturizing, emollient qualities. Excellent as a base for massage oils and bath preparations or for lotions suitable for use on the face, it contains high concentrations of vitamin A and E and is rich in EFA’s (essential fatty acids). Keeps for up to a year if stored away from heat and direct sunlight. Can be refrigerated after opening to extend shelf life.
